Gendertypes - the pilot and the air steward

The airline pilot

In any industry it’s always women who do the important, skilled jobs. Take an airline: the design, construction and flying of these great aeroplanes, along with running the companies, is women’s work.

The air steward

The male role in an airline is to provide “glamour”. The airline steward is decorative, nurturing and of course worse paid than the women doing the important jobs.

(One commenter’s been asking for these for years: well, here you are!)

  2. Beautiful artwork!
However I found the males some kind of rude in their appearance.
I thought that artificial selection will let males gain softness and Women will have more strong bodies

I gave you one gif that I made:

    1. Hello! I do swaps of gender roles, i.e. cultural swaps, not biological changes. You're describing a different world to mine. Good work on the GIF though.

  7. O! What a sexy short skirt! It must surely attract complements and even the occasional pinch or slap on the backside from overeager passengers. Oh, but he must grin and bear all of that, for if he protests, there will be the cruel remark of whether he was asking for it

Speaking of which, jamie, there must surely be in universe alot of pressure on men to dress sexy to please on the one hand and not be seen as a loose boy at the same time. There must be articles in mens' magazines with advise on 'how to dress sexy without looking slutty' or on how to be flirty without attracting unwanted attention. Boys must be racking their tiny heads hard to get it just right no?

  8. Jamie, wouldn't the preferred option for men be to get married as early as possible and become a househusband to a successful woman. What would be the motivation for them to pursue careers albeit with submissive and secondary roles like that of secretary, nurse or steward

    1. I expect most men would seek to marry a successful woman and be househusbands. But lots of women work in our society, and always have done. When you reverse that for the Eve's Rib world, you get men doing those jobs.
