Gendertypes

I’m launching a series that I will call Gendertypes. Here are the first two paintings.

The ballet boy

It is a stereotype about boys that they love ballet. Perhaps it’s the graceful movements and the romantic stories of the classics that attract them. Or perhaps they just love wearing a frothy tutu?

The football girl

Girls of course are all about mud, sweat and tears, and the rough and tumble of competitive sports. No surprise then that football is a girl’s game.

  1. These are perfect roles for boys and girls in the future gender role reversal world. ;)

  7. These are very lovely pictures! Fine work and very compelling images of how boys and girls will switch traditional roles in the future. It's a very appealing looking future too!

  8. I see you made her a Canaries player. Good to see you supporting your local club.

  9. Lovely duo- though I suspect the young woman is a hard defender rather than a striker (I'm sure Norwich City can use both!).
