Portrait of an artist

Of course we need some pictures of women too. Here is a portrait of an artist from 1819.

Digital painting after Michel Martin Drolling and Sarah Goodridge.

  1. I love the women portraits.

  2. Well done. Sarah Goodridge has the same look of calm detachment and dignity that Michel Martin Drolling had when HE was wearing the smart frock coat, breeches and cravat.

I doubt that he looked as composed when he was forced out of his traditional masculine attire and into the simple dresses that are now required.
